About Us
As with every great thing out there, we started out small – with a close-knit group of young, enthusiastic Slovenians who loved nothing more than spending their days in nature.
In a country that provides incredible hiking trails around every corner, it was easy to gather a team of people who are passionate about sharing the beauty of our homeland with the world.
How We Began
At the very beginning, our World Discovery hiking team consisted of outdoor enthusiasts striving to ensure that everyone who comes to Slovenia has a truly authentic and transformative experience.
By 2021, we became the number one agency organizing hiking tours in this European hidden gem, working with every IFMGA-certified mountain guide in the country. We’ve managed tours for everyone – from solo travellers, beginners and larger groups to adventurers looking to ascend our highest mountain, Triglav.
About Our Team
The demand for our tours grew with every satisfied review, and we knew we were doing something right. It was time to venture out and look for new trails to explore.
We decided that taking our favourite trails from around the world and creating new tours for our clients was the best way to go. We all had our favorites – from the peaks and lakes of the Dolomites to Austrian pastures, Swiss Alps and the iconic Mont Blanc – and bringing those to life was the natural next step.
New trails and tours came with a new workload, and even though we’d already covered more than half of Europe by the end of 2022, we went out looking for people with experiences that complement ours.
It was our goal to bring on people that had explored different places across the globe, provided insight into a variety of destinations and, most importantly, share our passion for hiking.
We recruited a diverse group of hikers – from those who have the ins and outs of remote trails under their belt to those who prefer leisurely hikes while exploring historic towns. Now, every one of our members has something unique to offer.
With their help and insight, we branched out at the beginning of 2023, now covering 4 continents and offering more than 250 diverse hiking tours!
Our team became so big we had to move our operations to a bigger office space in Ljubljana, this time with a spectacular view of the mountains from our desks.
