This one-day tour takes you from the Krma Valley to Triglavski dom na Kredarici (2,515 m), the highest mountain lodge in Slovenia.
Starting in the spruce forests of the glacial valley, your view will expand with each meter of elevation gained, with the snowy landscape stretching endlessly before you. Near the top, you’ll spot Kredarica hut, one of the most accessible high-altitude locations in the Julian Alps during winter.
Once you've taken in the breathtaking views, the highlight of the tour begins: a long descent of skiing bliss. The route is gentle, with 1500 meters of elevation loss, making for an enjoyable experience.
Thanks to the southern slopes, snow conditions are often optimal, particularly in late winter or early spring when the snow quality is at its best.
Safety is our top priority, so the tour only proceeds if conditions are suitable. Our guide will confirm when there's no avalanche risk and will provide details on the necessary equipment, including crampons and an ice axe when needed.
For an even more epic adventure, we can extend the tour to the summit of Mt. Triglav. From Kredarica hut, the ascent is too steep for skis and must be completed on foot, with crampons and an ice axe. Prior experience with this equipment is essential.
